The 50 Best Cheap Eats

The Granville @ Barford

This may be a little pricier than you would expect for grub in a pub but Matthew Linden rates its “delicious” food – with dishes such as salmon, crayfish and haddock pie and ham-hock terrine with poached egg, it’s a definite step up from the scampi-and-chips brigade. It also does very good beer, a good-value £14.50 two course Sunday lunch and reasonable “larger starter” size meals, served at lunchtimes and until 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
